Abstract | The proposed chapter deals with the Amplify-and-Forward (AF) cooperative strategy in ad-hoc networks. In contrast with other cooperative schemes (Decode-and-Forward), the AF does not require a high complexity at the relays and simply forwards the received signal in the analogue domain. In this chapter, we give an overview of the different AF approaches in the literature and we discuss recent research contributions in this area. Mathematical models and outage probability simulations are used in order to compare the presented AF techniques. In the following discussion, we present the basic structure of the chapter. |
